MORE COMMISSIONS I PAID FOR (July - December 2024 edition)
SUP! It's that time again where I paid rando artists I followed online where I told them to draw.
So there's only a few commissions plus one long overdue piece that beat Bread's record by an extra month. It took him a few days to get it done.
This one is a LONG OVERDUE commission. Longer than Brabbit's, longer than Bread's. Guessing the reason why it took him that long is because unlike the others (who were busy with personal lives), he probably forgot about it, while having more art on the plate. So why Holly? Well, I commissioned him sometime around the time the Netflix Scott Pilgrim anime was the big thing. Holly is cute, honestly.
Now, this one looked different from the other Vivi commissions from the past. That's because this is the first commission to use the new V8 Design, which I was working on the new 3D model at the time. Now, this is the only Viv commission in this design, and once I uploaded the complete V8.1 model, the hairstyle & ears have changed. Originally, she was going to lounge on the couch, but she couldn't draw that, so here's some pillows instead.
I did like the watercolor look on this, even though it's not actual watercolor if it's on CSP.
Next I commissioned by my best man to be the bookend of the V7 design. Originally commissioned him around August with her in a bikini but since he was backed up by other commission work, I requested a change of outfits, and kept the same pose. It took him a while (until January) but managed to get it done. I dig the halftone shading.
This one like the Malice commission is meant for the thumbnail for my Gran Turismo 4 Spec-II Challenge Run video. It took him 3 days to get it done, which is appreciated. Why the Datsun, and why am I in there? Well, the Datsun is a random choice, but this is one of the first randomized prize cars; and the reason why there's a chibi version of me in there is because he doesn't do furries... And I kinda suck at self portraits.
Yeah, I was considering more commissions from the latter half, but sadly, I commissioned 3. Perhaps I should be a little careful on who to commission, because I already witnessed 4 people to draw one character which took them MONTHS. Maybe next time I'll get to write up something I've been working all January, which is a little room... and a city backdrop.
